With the launch of Checkout Extensibility, new things are possible in the Shopify Plus checkout.
That’s why tons of Shopify Plus stores are moving from checkout.liquid to Checkout Extensibility. To support those merchants, we’re introducing a new layout for checkout upsells: Tiles.
Tiles will give you the ability to showcase products more visually. While merchants love the Carousel and Stack layouts UpsellPlus provides, Tiles was something we made happen for brands who want to highlight the images of the product they’re upselling. This helps increase conversion and AOV.
We’re pumped to share the Tiles layout for Shopify Checkout Extensibility is now live in the UpsellPlus app. In this post we’ll cover everything you need to know about using this new Tile layout using UpsellPlus for your upsells in Shopify Checkout Extensibility.
What is a Tile layout?
How to select the Tile layout for your Checkout Extensibility upsells
Let's dive in.
The new Shopify checkout, called Checkout Extensibility, is customized using apps. UpsellPlus allows you to display upsells and cross-sells at checkout on your Shopify Plus store.
The new Tile layout is available to all merchants on a Shopify Plus plan that have UpsellPlus installed. To enable these upsells, you’ll need to install UpsellPlus to your store. You can do that here.
Once you’ve completed the installation, you can click ‘Create an offer’ and choose ‘Checkout Page’, then select ‘Checkout Extensibility’.
Add at least 2 products and you’ll see the Tile/Row layout appear on the ‘Customization’ card. When you select ‘Row’ or ‘Tiles’ you will see the preview reflect that.
You can customize the description, discount, order, amount, button text and images of the products. All of your changes are reflected in the preview on the right.
