We help the largest 1% of Shopify stores to grow their revenue across their online storefront, by improving AOV and conversion.
Our need to hire
We've grown a ton over the past year through two main acquisition channels, the Shopify app store and referrals. We're looking to hire a Head of Marketing who will help build a roadmap of marketing campaigns to get our solution in front of ecommerce brands. This could be by upgrading our existing marketing channels and opening up others.
The goal of this role is to double our leads every 6 months. Our customers are large Shopify brands ($3m -$150m/yr in revenue). Our existing customer base has $2 billion in GMV per year.
We run structured and performant Google ads and Shopify ads. You wouldn't need to focus there. We want you to come in and develop and execute marketing campaigns for all other channels, like Linkedin, Twitter, Tiktok (?), Email, Partnerships, Youtube and others.
What we’re looking for
- Background in marketing saas to Shopify merchants
- Knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem
- Strong experience with running marketing experiments independently from start to finish and scaling up the ones that work
- Knowing how to execute this yourself is key. The founder will help you, but you're the pilot and will execute your own plans. Over time, you'll hire people to help you execute. The more growth you can deliver, the more people we can hire.
- A ‘Get Stuff Done’ mentality and ability to be proactive, see problems and work through them independently
- Strong technical English skills, both written and spoken
- Async and remote work at a profitable company, that grows 100% year over year. No growth at all costs
- AI fluency. MCP, prompting, agent coordination, you know how to use AI to achieve more
The challenges ahead
- Double leads every 6 months: Build the machine that brings in new customers in our existing and new acquisition channels
- Build a brand: Make merchants see and recognize UpsellPlus everywhere they go in the ecommerce and Shopify ecosystem
- AI first: We invest heavily in AI tooling and internal dashboards. AI fluency and how to apply to marketing is a requirement
